I don’t understand this world
And I don’t understand this life
I’ll swallow my pain if it made sense
I’d jump over the bridge
And climb over the fence
If only I understood why
If only the world would change
If only I’d stop living this lie
The closets are empty
And the people are numb
The darkness is falling
The evil has come
I don’t understand
Why the story’s so old
Or why their hearts
Are so cold
But I do understand
That I will never understand
It’s like flying in the sky
And missing wheels to land
Let the world go on
No one understands
Lost in our confusion
We’ve become so numb
The darkness is here
The evil has come
