Silence

by

Sooraj Vasudevan

That day…
Her eyes conveyed
The pains of
Helpless moments
Dripping between us,
The sighs of...
Half-born dreams
Fading with silent byes,
The poems within
Drying...
After indefinite longing,
The heart-beats
Dreaming of
Music eluding;
Still…
Unaware I am
Of what transpired
In the brimming silence
That leaked through
Her embracing lids
And melted down
Between these lines
Of inadequate imagination.
