Cold and snowy winter day
In front of the fire is where I'm gonna stay
Losing my thoughts in the flickering flames
Remembering people. Remembering names
Thinking back to times long ago
My beard now white like the falling snow
A tattered quilt to ease the chill
A little nip to strengthen the will
Remembrances of lows and highs
Warm hellos and sad goodbyes
Memories of times I want to keep
Warm thoughts to take to sleep
