Seraphim's Kite

by

Tristin

skipping along to this silent tune
green pastures fly past in a dream
to merrily stroll down the road
seeking peace, will you care
kneeling alone I cry, face pressed to the ground
weeping aloud the pain in my soul
can it be true
hiding away I seal it inside again

a boy with his kite
a string, and the breeze
can you see, do you feel, or is it all
just locked up inside of me
will I ever find peace for my soul
seeking the rest, I sigh at your caress
bringing me here to a haven so blue
sleeping at last

gazing around the mist shades my view
losing perspective of myself
spinning fall, to slow the loneliness
I turn and embrace you
waves pushed by wind respond
to your loving voice
filling me gently with your breath
and true peace
I cry aloud to the God of the earth.

a boy with his kite
a string, and the breeze
can you see, do you feel, or is it all
just locked up inside of me
will I ever find peace for my soul
seeking the rest, I sigh at your caress
bringing me here to a haven so blue
sleeping at last
