Taken

by

Troy Luedke

I didn't think the day would ever really come
But when I gazed into her eyes I soon became numb

Everything around me had faded away
The presence of her had taken its place

I never knew another that shines the way she does
An angel had been sent from somewhere up above

I had to take a chance, there was no other choice
I needed to meet this woman, to hear her tender voice

She told me she was flattered, by what I thought of her
But followed shortly after, "I'm taken by another"
