How Cruel You Are!

by

Uzma Sadaf

How cruel you are!
You give wounds and leave no traces
Where should I go for supplication
All are strangers to me from the earth to the sky
I know God became angry with me
When I decorated your figure in the house of idols
Then I worshipped it day and night
When I made a rebellion against the society for ! you
When I shattered all the idols of egotism
But for an idol, how heavy it was!
What a price had I to pay for it
I sold myself without any price
But the wounds you gave me, how deep they were
Your lifeless body and the anger in those eyes
A horrible scene!
I remember all
Then what happened
My shattered self is still lying in your feet
And I don’t know how to collect my self
And you have no power to pick me up!
