Oh! My Pearl

by

Uzma Sadaf

Oh! My pearl
I was in search of you
You don’t know how much
Did I search you
You fell from my lap and then
I missed you
Your conch is so disturbed
She is lonely and worried
She has become priceless
She does not have any thing left
The blue vastness of the sea is a witness
That your conch has broken
You are innocent not knowing anything
The breast of your conch has burst away
And her blood has frozen
She knows that she is now priceless
Perhaps that is why she is lonely
She is becoming mad with the mad waves
She has lost her senses
In this senselessness she calls every body
There was a hope that has broken away
She does not have any thing
In her vacant hands
Except a few lines
She has lost herself
She is mad, she is mad
And is wandering in the sea in this madness
She has been finished altogether!
