When You Departed

by

Uzma Sadaf

My deprivations and your partings
Do not allow me to sleep
When you departed then I came to know
How near were you to me
Nearer than my breaths
When you departed I felt as if
Some body had cut my life vein
Suddenly a spring of blood came out
And I was tossing on earth
My ankles broke by striking my feet on the ground
And gradually all the limbs became motionless
Then there was perfect silence
You have departed and I feel as if
My life vein has been cut off.
